The NOBELS concept was very innovative and ingeniously simple: Offering great sounds with clever ideas and at a reasonable price. Bernhard Kurzke and electronics technician Kai Tachibana created a range of useful tools out of the ground. There was a series of effects pedals, plus programmable multi-effects, MIDI foot controllers, good-sounding practice amps and the “Little Helpers”. These were small boxes for the pedalboard: mixers, splitters, A / B switches, loop-in paths, MIDI switchers, DI boxes … so small and inexpensive, the little helpers were a real revolution. Those who wanted to produce cheaply back then had to go to Taiwan, Korea and China. Bernhard Kurzke flew there: The adventure of starting production in the then underdeveloped countries can fill an entire book. At the same time, Bernhard built up a worldwide sales network for Nobels effects and presented the devices at over 90 international trade fairs.
